Our practice is conveniently located in East Amherst at the intersection of Transit and Casey Road in Wolters Plaza, next to Wolters Bakery. We opened in April of 2003 to serve dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, lizards, snakes, turtles, kangaroos, tigers, coatimundis and primates to name a few.
New York City interior designer, Michael Deloach of Deloach Design & Decoration, designed the interiors. WITH THE HOLIDAYS HERE , OUR HOUSE BECOMES OVERWHELMED WITH MANY NEW INANIMATE OBJECTS.WE ARE CONSTANTLY PICKING UP ORNAMENTS THAT FELL OFF THE TREE, THROWING AWAY WRAPPINGS AND RIBBON FROM THE HANUKKAH PRESENTS AND VACUUMING UP NEEDLES FROM THE REAL TREES THAT STAND IN OUR LIVING ROOMS.THIS IS ALL FUN AND VERY BEAUTIFUL ESPECIALLY FOR THE NEW KITTEN AND PUPPY.PLEASE TAKE AN EXTRA 5 MINUTES TO MAKE SURE ALL OF THE TOYS ARE PUT AWAY,ALL OF THE RIBBON AND STRING IS IN THE GARBAGE AND NOTHING IS LEFT OUT FOR YOUR NEW PET TO GET INTO.

September 25th, 2011 all creatures In the course of a dogs lifetime, we sometimes see lameness occur out of nowhere .There can be several reasons why this may happen, but one of the more popular situations would be a ruptured cruciate ligament. Attached is a diagram of the anatomy of the knee, including the anterior and posterior cruciate ligament. The anterior ligament is usually the one that ruptures when your dog makes a quick turn rough-housing or perhaps chasing a squirrel. To make a clear diagnosis, your pet would be admitted to the hospital for a day to take x-rays . The veterinarian would feel the joint of the knee to see if the bones demonstate movement that is abnormal and then proceed to explain the next step. If you have any concerns with the current health of your dogs needs please make an appointment with one of our veterinarians so we can further assist you.
