Dental Services

At All Creatures Animal Hospital, we feel that dental health is a crucial part of your pet’s total medical picture. Dental disease such as dental tartar and gingivitis if left untreated can shorten your pet’s life span; chronic bacterial infection of the teeth and gums shower your pet’s organs leading to organ damage and even heart disease. Good dental care is a proven key to maintaining overall quality of life and ensuring longevity of your pet. Ask your doctor about your pet’s dental health and products you can use to keep his or her teeth healthier.

A note from our Staff…

On the morning of your pets’ scheduled dental procedure, one of our licensed veterinary technicians will go through your pets’ dental treatment plan. Any questions or concerns you may have involving the cleaning itself can be answered by one of the technicians or the veterinarian. Based on your pets age and current health status, a specific anesthesia protocol will be designed to accommodate your pets’ needs. You will be called at noon the same day and given an update as to how your pet is recovering. We can estimate a “go-home” time based on your availability during the day. When your pet is discharged, one of our technicians’ will be glad to answer any questions you may have and explain any medications that may be prescribed by the veterinarian. Your pet should not have anything to eat after midnight the night before and should arrive in the morning by 8 a.m. to be admitted for the dental procedure that day.
